New Warehouse in Türkiye Strengthens Rieter After Sales

Rieter’s footprint in Türkiye has grown with a fully operational warehouse in Istanbul by 2024.

Rieter After Sales expands its presence in Türkiye and opened its first spare parts warehouse in Istanbul. Since April 2024, Turkish customers benefit from faster delivery times, improved efficiency and customer proximity as well as spare parts distribution within Türkiye. This strategic move underpins Rieter’s commitment to pursue growth and sustainable value for customers.

To further enhance its service capabilities, Rieter has inaugurated its first spare parts warehouse in Istanbul in April 2024. Strategically located next to vital trade and transport routes, the warehouse facilitates prompt door-to-door delivery of locally stocked spare parts within 48 hours, ensuring minimal downtime for customers. Spanning an area of approximately 1 000 square meters, the warehouse stocks not only wear-and-tear components but also critical parts that are crucial for mitigating machine downtime and sustaining uninterrupted production.

This expansion reflects Rieter’s commitment, together with its longstanding sales agent Erbel A.S., to its Turkish customer base. For 50 years, service engineers and technicians from Rieter and Erbel S.A. have been working together in a common mission to strengthen the competitiveness of customers. The Rieter service team will soon expand to include 100 experts – a remarkable sixfold increase over the span of five years. Starting with a single repair center in 2017, Rieter’s footprint in Türkiye has grown to encompass three repair centers in Kahramanmaraş, Uşak and Istanbul, and with a fully operational warehouse in Istanbul by 2024.

With the opening of its first Repair Services station in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, at the end of 2023, and the acquisition of the French company, Petit Spare Parts SAS, early 2024, Rieter is pursuing growth in the after-sales business with its extended presence in Türkiye. The unveiling of the new spare parts warehouse marks a significant milestone in Rieter’s endeavor to elevate customer service standards in one of the company’s key markets. This strategic move underscores the company's dedication to proximity, efficiency and responsiveness to customer needs.

Since the opening of the warehouse beginning of April, the inventory level has already reached a third of the annual target. Process and business stabilization are on track building the basis for continued growth and sustainable and ongoing support for local customers.
