The smaller rotor in combination with the channel insert 28 results in a higher rotor speed and thus in an increased productivity of up to 6%. Its increased sliding wall angle a) (Fig. 1) leads to better sliding behavior of the fibers. This setup also allows the processing of lower raw material qualities, resulting in the same yarn values as when higher raw material qualities are processed with the previous standard rotor.
